HALLOWEEN AT BRABAZON
In October big and small residents enjoyed pumpkin picking at the park, pumpkin carving workshop and a competition of the best pumpkin.
BrabFest 2024
In August the community in Brabazon came together for it’s first BrabFest. We enjoyed BBQ, garden games, bouncy castle, dog race and a visit from the new MP Claire Hazelgrove.
CHARLTON HAYES COMING TOGETHER FESTIVAL
Communities from near and far came together and enjoyed a full day of fun with the whole family.
GREAT BIG GREEN WEEK 2024
Communities around South Gloucestershire joined forces in a collective action to tackle climate change and preserve nature.
EXHIBITION: INSTRUCTION NOT INCLUDED
More than 70 woman across the UK (including Brabazon) took part in this art project that explored how women and girls feel about ageing.
BRABAZON HALF MARATHON & 10K
On 7th April nearly 500 athletes took place in the biggest sporting event North Bristol has seen.
EASTER GET-TOGETHER
Families from near and far came together at Brabazon to embark on it’s first egg hunt.
LUNAR NEW YEAR
The HongKongese community and their friends came together at Stoke Gifford to celebrate the start of the year of Dragon.
CHRISTMAS CAROLS AT BRABAZON
A little Christmas treat to all Brabazon residents was a selection of favourite carols paired with some mulled wine and mince pies.
MEET YOUR COUNCILORS
Meet the newly formed Brabazon & Charlton Hayes Parish Council. On 20th of October the councillors visited the Hanger 16U under construction and had a chance to meet the residents.
AEROSPACE BRISTOL TOUR
Residents at Brabazon had the chance to come together, meet neighbours and learn about the history of Brabazon (former Filton Airfield).
SUSTAINABLE TRAVEL EVENT
We had a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon at Brabazon exploring sustainable travel options and future visions.
GARDENING MASTERCLASS
A group of neighbours came together to learn about the best practices in this one-off gardening masterclass delivered by Mark from Heritage Gardening, the Brabazon landscapers themselves!
NEIGHBOUR
GET-TOGETHER
Brabazon residents came together in this foodie themed event to celebrate the ethnic diversity at Brabazon, and shared a plate of their favourite traditional dish.
THE GREAT BIG GREEN WEEK
Brabazon and Southern Brooks contributed to the nations biggest community action to tackle climate change. We ran a gardening session, organised litter picking and visited local schools.
BRABAZON STREET BBQ
With an attendance of more than 80 residents this has been the best attended community event in Brabazon so far. Big thanks to the sunny weather!
HIDDEN HEROES AT FILTON ELM PARK
A group of performers joined to relive the life stories of some of the Filton Airfield’s most iconic residents and workers.
