BrabFest 2024

In August the residents of Brabazon came together once again for another fantastic community event. Attendees enjoyed garden games, shared international dishes, mixed drinks at a self-service bar, and we made smoothies powered by bike pedals. Children had endless fun with a free bouncy castle and face painting, while dog owners competed in a lively dog race. We were also delighted to welcome our new local MP, Claire Hazelgrove, who shared a few words with the community.

Anna, the community development worker at Brabazon, wants to say a special thank you to the residents who helped set up and pack down—what a great community spirit! Our heartfelt gratitude to the Southern Brooks dream team for ensuring everything ran smoothly, and to Andy Hawkins and the team from Community Church for their generous contributions of time, funds, effort (and the big marquee!).

Most of the equipment used at the event was kindly borrowed from the Library of Things Bristol and Share & Repair Bath.
